New Crown Jewel event will be held at BMS in 2011

Post  tennesseeracefan on 2010-07-09, 12:30

BATESVILLE MOTOR SPEEDWAY promoter, Mooney Starr, has announced that on May 19-21, 2011, a new crown jewel event will be held at Batesville Motor Speedway. Full details will be released at this year’s COMP CAMS TOPLESS 100.

“We know that most late model drivers like racing at Batesville Motor Speedway and that our fan base for late models is great, especially in the southern part of the country,” Starr said. “We are going to make twenty-six lucky drivers happy, and at the same time, some lucky fan will get a big surprise,” Starr continued.

A true Crown Jewel Event must pay at least six figures. The complete payout for this event will top $150,000, which is the 3rd largest in the country. Sponsorship opportunities for this event are still available at this time. If you would like to be a part of this great event, please contact us at info@bms-ar.com or at 870-251-0011.

Any bets on how much this race will pay? I'd say 60-75K. I sure hope that they have it a weekend that the Lucas Oil & the WOO are off.

BMS 2011 Bad Boy 98

Post  CWR on 2011-01-27, 12:43

Batesville Motor Speedway officials have announced the sanctioning of another big race event with the Lucas Oil Late Model series.

"The Lucas Oil Company has been a part of our COMP CAMS TOPLESS 100 event for the past three year," stated Mooney Starr, Batesville Motor Speedway promoter.

"They run a very professional operation and we are very happy to sign them on as a partner for this new, unique race to be held on May 19th through the 21st, 2011," Starr continued.

BAD BOY, INC., a thriving local company that is known throughout the country, has been secured as the Title Sponsor of this event, to be named the BAD BOY 98.

BAD BOY, INC. began operations in 1998, with four employees, building the world's strongest zero-turn mower. They have grown to over 300 employees, and have added multi-terrain vehicles to their production line.

The BAD BOY 98 will be a 98-lap event to signify the beginning date of BAD BOY, Inc.

The pay scale for the event will be a little different from the usual race format, as well. The winner of the race will receive $10,000 plus a 2011 Chevy Camaro as the trophy. Some lucky fan will receive a 2011 Ford Mustang.

"We are very excited about becoming the Title Sponsor of this event," stated Bill Hurst, President of Motorsports Division for BAD BOY, INC. "We have sponsored Nascar teams, pro-athletes, the PBR, and country music stars and now we really want to open up the doors in dirt motorsports. When we heard that some lucky fan would win a new 2011Ford Mustang and the 2011 Camaro is a trophy, we knew that we wanted BAD BOY, INC. to be a part of this great racing venue," Hurst added.
