The world according to Nevertrustamidget

As i have always said it would make a great special events track. Just not a weekly track. If someone does try it again i have one recommendation and even one of the former promoters agreed with me on this. You are going to have to go into the deal prepared to lose money for at least two to three years. It is going to take deep pockets and a willingness to suffer the financial loss. If you do not have the financial backing to lose money for a few years then don't bother trying.

But today he said.....

NONE OF THE ABOVE

I prefer to see the local guys who work long hours on their cars every week after working their regular jobs. Would much rather reward their hard work with as many dates as possible than to have a single regular class miss a night of racing so some groups of out of town drivers can run.

Wrong again......

Looks as if it does very little as far as local racing goes. May help in attacking a nationwide or truck race to Jackson but it doesn't read like it will do much for dirt tracks. Or it could be in place in case the Tunica Motor sports complex is built later down the road.

It reads Individual Professional racing or other or other sporting event to be held in the state, Professional Definition.... a person who earns a living in a sport or other occupation frequently engaged in by amateurs: a golf professional. With payouts like this I bet there are a few professionals coming into the state to work
Magnolia Speedway has July 9th-10th
Lucas Oil Late Model Series $20,000 To Win

The race is listed on the calender so it looks like it is including dirt tracks.

ps I was looking for big payouts to find a list of Professional drivers that may make their living at racing and went to Magnolia Speedway this morning and noticed that. Thanks NTM You always get me to looking things up. Smile
