Camden Closing
February 1, 2011
It is only after much consideration, analysis and heartfelt deliberation that we have decided to cease operations.
We are hopeful that the speedway can open with new ownership.
Thanks to all the fans, competitors, officials and sponsors for their generous support.
2010 Class Champions will be contacted by 2/28/2011.
Prepaid Pit Spots will be refunded.
2/01/2011 Press Release:
Camden Motor Speedway is ending operations and the track is for sale.
Numerous attempts to create a scenario to keep the track in continuous operation were looked into, all to no avail.
We had every intention of running a full season this year. Many facility improvements were underway, but not allowed to happen.
We have no recourse but to adhere to their request under our contractual agreement.
We are hopeful the speedway opens under new ownership.

Re: Camden Closing
This sucks! It is too good of a track to just be sitting there closed.

Re: Camden Closing
This seems to be happening more and more. As of now, we've lost 2 tracks in our area that we had planned on running. Hopefully someone will step up to the plate and get them going again.
