East Bay Tri-Fecta Up Next For Eric Cooley

Fulton, MS (02/16/10) – After watching Old Man Winter put a damper on the past two events that Eric Cooley has attempted to enter, he is eager to ride his #33c Cooley Transport/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Crate Late Model into battle this weekend, February 18th-20th at East Bay Raceway in Tampa, Florida for a NeSmith Late Model Series triple header.

Twice over the past few weeks, Cooley has planned to travel to Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi for the 2nd Annual Winter Bash, but on both occasions inclement weather forced the cancellation of the event.

Cooley will look to not only outrun Old Man Winter this weekend, but also his fellow competitors as the 2009 NeSmith National Champion invades East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida for three events. After an open practice session on Wednesday night, the stakes will increase on Thursday night with a $2,500 to win, 40 lap event. On Friday night the NeSmith tour will come with another $2,500 to win, 40 lap event before wrapping up the triple header on Saturday with a $3,000 to win, 50 lap event. For more information on the events, please visit www.NeSmithRacing.com and www.EastBayRacewayPark.com .

Eric and everyone at Cooley Motorsports would like to thank all of their sponsors, which include 78 Towing & Recovery Inc., Cooley Transport Inc., D.J. Transportation (Blue Springs, MS), Twisted Designs (Fayette, AL), GW Performance, MSRMafia.com, and Simpson Race Products.
Cooley Motorsports is currently looking for new sponsors and marketing partners. For more information on joining the team, please visit www.EricCooleyRacing.com .

Eric Cooley To Enter $25k Crate Nationals at Green Valley

Fulton, MS (03/23/10) – Eric Cooley is set to take his best shot at claiming the $25,000 top prize in this weekend’s 2nd Annual Crate Nationals at Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama.

Last Saturday, Eric entered his second Super Late Model event of the 2010 season at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama with the P.R.O. Dirt Car Super Late Model Series. Eric started the night by qualifying 8th fastest in his group to earn the fifth starting spot in a qualifier. He went on to finish 5th in the qualifier, which resulted in him starting 16th in the 40 lap, $2,500 to win feature. In the main event, Eric would begin marching toward the front of the pack early in the event as he was up to the 10th position by the race's midway point. Over the remainder of the event, he raced his way to a solid 6th place finish, and along the way earned the Hard Charger Award.

This weekend, March 25th-27th, Eric, who is the 2009 NeSmith National Late Model Series Champion, will travel to Green Valley Speedway in Glencoe, Alabama for the $25,000 to win/$1,000 to start Crate Nationals. However, he will not be in his familiar #33c entry as he will be behind the wheel of the #21 Mastersbilt Crate Late Model, which is owned by Norman Braxton. Eric is not a stranger to the car though as this is one of his former cars that he recently sold to Braxton.

“I’m really excited about the Crate Nationals this weekend, and I can’t thank Mr. Braxton enough for giving me the opportunity to pilot his car in this huge event. Hopefully I can bring home the $25,000 check!” commented Cooley.

Eric and everyone at Cooley Motorsports would like to thank all of their sponsors, which include 78 Towing & Recovery Inc., Cooley Transport Inc., Twisted Designs (Fayette, AL), GW Performance, MSRMafia.com, Victory Circle By Moyer, and Simpson Race Products.

Eric Cooley Rolls To Second NeSmith Victory of 2010 at CMS

Fulton, MS (05/11/10) – Eric Cooley continued his torrid start to the season by picking up his second win of the 2010 season with the NeSmith Late Model Series on Friday night at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi.

The 2009 NeSmith National Late Model Series Champion, Eric Cooley, enjoyed another great weekend in his #33c Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer in the NeSmith Late Model Series doubleheader at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi. On Friday night with thirty-one entries on hand, Eric displayed dominance as he set fast time in qualifications to earn the pole position for the feature. He went on to lead the entire feature event to take the $2,000 win, which was his second triumph of the 2010 season!

On Saturday night, Eric qualified tenth fastest in qualifying for the $2,500 to win event, which gave him a front row starting spot for a heat race. He would go on to win his heat race to start 8th in the feature event. Eric would race his way to the front of the pack early in the feature and looked to be on his way to his second win in as many nights, but disaster struck on lap 30 when a lapped car made heavy contact with Cooley. The caution would wave and Eric would retain his position as the leader, but with heavy front end damage, he would fade to a third place finish at the checkered flag behind event winner, Chris Ragan, and Larry Harrod. Full results from the weekend can be found at www.NeSmithRacing.com .
On the heels of his two solid finishes, Eric now holds a 52 point advantage over Mathew Turner for the point's lead in the NeSmith National Late Model standings.

This weekend Eric will make his second trip of the year to Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas for a pair of Crate Late Model events, which are being sponsored by Bad Boy Mowers and Isle of Capri Casino. On Friday, May 14th a $1,500 to win feature will be held, while a $2,000 to win feature will be held on Saturday, May 15th. For more information, please visit www.BatesvilleMotorSpeedway.net .
