Magnolia’s USCS Spring Explosion on March 26th and 27th is a Racer and Fan Smorgasbord of Speed

Atlanta, GA - March 08, 2010 – The United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) invades Magnolia Motor Speedway with a USCS winged Outlaw sprint car and Modified double, double-header on Friday, March 26thrd and Saturday, March 27th for the USCS Spring Xplosion. The Magnolia Motor Speedway 2010 season-opener is a literal “Smorgasbord of Speed” featuring two full nights of high speed action in six racing divisions at one of the Mid-South’s most popular venues.

Race teams and race fans will be treated to a full menu of speed contests with racing in six of the area’s most popular divisions. The event includes the only 2010 season appearance of the USCS “Outlaw Thunder” Tour presented by Goodyear winged sprint cars at Magnolia Motor Speedway. The racing action features over 400 laps of racing around the 3/8 mile clay oval including 250+ laps of Championship main events.

The Magnolia Motor Speedway season-opener turns up the tempo with the addition of the 700+ horsepower, 1300 pound Outlaw style sprint cars of the United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear for two full nights of action. The world’s most powerful short track cars are expected to reach speeds exceeding 130 M.P.H. around the “Mag”. Top winged sprint car drivers from 8 states are already pre-entered for the second ever appearance of the USCS sprint cars to Magnolia Motor Speedway.

Super Late Model racers and fans can also settle in for back-to-back weekly racing series events in the “Black Ice” Twin 25’s. Super Late Models will contest two full nights of racing with $1000 minimum guaranteed to win the main event each night and a $500 bonus up for grabs for any driver who can win both halves of the Black Ice Twin 25’s.

The inaugural Spring Xplosion saw 38 USCS different winged sprint cars from 10 states and over 40 different USCS Modified Series cars from five states compete for the Championships on April 3rd and 4th, 2009.
Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas won the United Sprint Car Series Friday prelim in the winged sprint cars and Gary Taylor from Seattle, Washington captured the Spring Xplosion 2009 sprint car finale. Rodney Wing from Meridian, Mississippi won the USCS Weekly Racing Series event on Friday night and well known Late Model and Modified racer and car builder, Jeff Taylor from Jonesboro, Arkansas rolled to victory lane in the USCS Modified Touring Series finale on Saturday night.

Racing divisions featured in back-to-back nights in the cavalcade of racing include the United Sprint Car Series winged sprint cars, the mighty K&N Filters USCS Modified Series, Commercial Dispatch Super Late Models, Nesmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Weekly Racing Series, plus the popular Magnolia Motor Speedway weekly racing series Street Stocks and Mini Stocks racing divisions.
The 2010 Spring Xplosion Magnolia Motor Speedway events will feature the last chance of the 2010 season for the racers in the Nesmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series to shake down their rides before their weekly racing series Championship points begin the following weekend.

The event also gives the USCS Modified division racers a chance to score points in the USCS Weekly Racing Series on Friday night and then, try to improve their standings in Saturday night’s $1200 to win K&N Filters USCS Modified Touring Series Championship event.
