USCS BANQUET
The United Speed Contest Sanction has announced that the awards banquets for the Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series and USCS Modified Weekly Racing Sereis Champions will be held in Memphis Tennessee at the Holiday Inn Select - Memphis East on Saturday, February 6th at 7pm . The banquet will be in conjunction with the Parts Plus United Sprint Car Series banquet. The Holiday In Select Memphis East is located just off I-240 at Exit #15
The USCS Modified Series' Champion's Awards Dinner-Banquet will honor drivers and teams who finished in the top ten of the Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series and the top fifteen drivers and teams in the USCS Modified Weekly Racing Series point standings during the 2009 season.
Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas was the 2009 USCS Modified Touring Series Champion. Matt Cooper from McKenzie, Tennessee was the 2009 USCS Weekly Racing Series Champion. Justin Roberts of Paragould, Arkansas was the 2009 USCS Modified Touring Series Rookie of the Year. Grant Box from Whitehall, Arkansas claimed Rookie of the Year honors for the USCS Modified Weekly Racing Series.
236 different drivers earned points in twenty-one events at ten different speedways toward the Rislone USCS Modified Touring Series title in 2009. Over 300 different drivers raced in the USCS Modified Weekly Racing Series during the inaugaral season.
Drivers competed for Championship points at seven tracks for the Championship in 2009. Those tracks included: Camden Speedway, Columbus Speedway, Drew County Speedway, Greenville Speedway, Magnolia Motor Speedway, Malden Speedway and Riverside int. Speedway.
All drivers, car owners, team members and interested race fans are invited to the awards banquet. Tickets for the USCS Champions Awards Dinner-Banquet are $35 each and should be purchased in advance.
