Jacob Black Makes Charge to Win Season Opener at West Plains Speedway
Jacob Black and the #20b team picked up their first win of 2010 during the season opener at the West Plains Speedway in West Plains, Missouri on Saturday night, May 8. Jacob, who started second in the feature after being inverted, overtook race leader Billy James after blowing a motor on the seventh lap and held a stout field behind him for the remainder of the 20-lap affair. The caution flag waved on lap fourteen as Jacob was making his way through lapped traffic. Hollywood pulled away on the restart and never looked back. The Van Buren, Missouri driver finished five car lengths ahead of the competition and received his second career victory.
Jacob would like to thank Danny Robinson and Blake for their hard work, as well as his sponsors, Black Mountain Racing, 21 Drive-In, JMACO Racing, Hams Pest Control, Pryor Construction, That's A Wrap Graphics, Full Force Creations, TeamFFC.com, Simpson Racing, and Port City Racing. He would most especially like the thank Chastidy and Lani.
Team JBR is scheduled to race at the Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, Arkansas this Friday and Saturday, May 14-15 for Round 2 of the Isle of Capri Late Model Series.
