P.R.O. Super Late Model Series Travels To NAS & Corinth This Weekend

Columbus, Mississippi (05/17/10) – After a month hiatus, the Promoters Racing Organization (P.R.O.) Super Late Model Dirt Car Series and NeSmith Super Dirt Car Super Late Model Series will return to action this weekend, May 21st-22nd with a pair of events at North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, AL) and Corinth Speedway (Corinth, MS).

With the first three events of the year in the books, David Breazeale from Four Corners, Mississippi is the current point’s leader with a four point advantage over Anthony Burroughs (Athens, Alabama) for the top spot. Rounding out the top ten in points are Ronnie Johnson (Tennessee), Rick Rickman (Mississippi), Kyle Beard (Arkansas), Dean Carpenter (Mississippi), Bradley Price (Alabama), Neil Baggett (Mississippi), Mathew Turner (Georgia), and Ray Mauldin (Mississippi).

Most of the drivers in the top ten in points are expected to be in attendance and will be joined by a strong contingent this weekend including Klint Byars, Brian Rickman, Jason Milam, Jay Burchfield, Ross Camponovo, Leon Henderson, Mark Dodson, Chad Winkles, Stacey Caldwell, Jerry Jackson, Jeremy Glasgow, Josh Putnam, Jerry Owens, and many more.

The weekend gets underway on Friday, May 21st at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama with a $2,000 to win, 40 lap event at the 1/3 mile oval. The P.R.O. tour hosted an event at the facility back in March, and it was Josh Putnam, who took the win, and he will back looking for his second straight win with the tour at “Alabama’s Action Track”. On Saturday, May 22nd, the tour will roll into Corinth Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi as the venue hosts its first ever P.R.O.
